Sony Vaio W netbook

Introducing the new Sony ‘Vaio W’ netbook. Finally a high-powered, low-priced Windows 7 netbook from Sony!
Sony make the best mini laptops on the market but so-far, their existing netbook releases have been strangely unsuccessful. Take for example the Vaio P netbook, a beautiful looking machine (i’d like one just to show off with) costing over £700 with a tiny screen that made it difficult to use, so no-one bought it.
With the Vaio W, it looks like Sony have realised what people want from a netbook; good performance, long battery life and portability. Like a Vaio laptop the machine is very well made, it feels really solid and the keyboard and trackpad are very nice to use.
Specification wise the Sony includes:
- Intel Atom N280 1.66 GHz Processor
- 1 GB RAM
- 250 GB HDD
- X-Black, WXGA Screen
- 8 Hours battery life
- Camera, 3x USB, wireless etc
- Windows 7 Starter
With specs like this, the machine has more than enough power to run the Windows 7, office and graphics programs whilst surfing away in the background.
The Sony Vaio W is expected to sell around £400 – £450, which is a fantastic deal, Sony laptops generally are worth buying for the X-Black screen’s alone they just look and work so much better than any other laptop screen.
If you’re looking for the best price on a Sony W Netbook, Amazon currently have the machine under £400 with free delivery.
