It’s (un)official: Netbooks featuring the new Intel Atom N450 will launch on January 11th 2010.

Digitimes’ Taipei reporter, Monica Chen is reporting that Asus, Acer, Lenovo and MSI have agreed a launch date of Jan 11th for their new Atom N450 netbooks. These netbooks will feature one of 3 Operating Systems:

• Windows XP Home
• Moblin Linux
• Windows 7 Starter

Of course, Windows 7 will be the most popular of these, but also the highest priced. Current 10″ netbook prices have dropped over the last few weeks in preparation for the new releases.
