Asus Eee 1008HA (Seashell) netbook
Asus Eee 1008HA (named the Seashell) netbook is the latest netbook on the market from Asus. Although it’s been available to buy for a month or two, we’re yet to mention anything about this machine, but feel we must do so because:
1) It’s one of the top selling netbooks at the moment
2) It is receiving rave reviews and positive feedback from owners.
3) It’s an awesome machine and we think you should have one!
About the Asus Eee Seashell
First the name, it’s a pretty strange name, and it reminds of those multi-colourful Apple laptops named the “Clamshell” from about 10 years ago. According to Asus the “Seashell draws its inspiration from seashells and its opalescent and glossy exterior is crafted by the innovative in-Mold Roller technology”. Whilst i’m not sure what that actually means the machine is a thing of beauty, the “shell” is shiny sleek and very white.

The Seashell is a highly portable machine, measuring just 1-inch in depth and weighing at 1.1kg! This thing is perfect for transporting about, slide it into your bag and you won’t even know it is there.
Battery technology
What is also interesting about the Asus Seashell netbook is that it comes with Asus’ new battery technology ‘ASUS Super Hybrid Engine’. this roughly means you can the machine runs in a highly efficient manner, giving an average of 6 hours of high performance computing.
